A smiling girl in a yellow floral shirt and white apron holding a tropical green smoothie garnished with pineapple and banana, in a bright kitchen.

This is the smoothie that tastes like a vacation. Coconut milk, sweet pineapple and banana give it that tropical flavor, and vanilla Greek yogurt makes it so thick and creamy it almost feels like a milkshake.

That yogurt is doing more than adding creaminess. Greek yogurt is strained, which leaves it with about twice the protein of regular yogurt, along with calcium and live cultures for a healthy gut. Protein helps you stay full longer and gives muscles what they need to recover after an active day. Pineapple adds vitamin C and manganese, a mineral that helps the body build strong bones and turn food into energy.

One scoop of LIVEDEN BALANCE™ adds even more staying power. Its pea and spirulina protein is a complete plant protein, with all nine essential amino acids the body can’t make on its own. Together, it’s a glass that keeps you going well past breakfast.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Add the coconut milk, Greek yogurt, frozen pineapple, banana and BALANCE to a blender.
  2. Blend until thick and creamy.
  3. Pour into a glass, garnish with a piece of pineapple and banana if you like, and enjoy.

Make it your way

For a dairy-free version, use a coconut or almond milk yogurt. A frozen banana makes it even thicker, and a little more coconut milk thins it out. Mango works beautifully in place of some of the pineapple.

For little ones

Kids love how creamy this one is. Pour it into two glasses to share; each holds about half a scoop of BALANCE, a full serving for a child around 60 pounds.
